Program at a Glance

In this self-paced course, we invite you to deepen your understanding of the festivals by looking through a different lens- the mood of each season and its relationship to three of Rudolf Steiner’s twelve senses. Exploring how each relationship creates an archetype will deepen our connection to our treasured natural world and the festivals that celebrate it!

 

Exploring each season in connection to these senses: 

 

Autumn- Touch, Vision, Ego

Winter- Life, Warmth, Concept

Spring- Movement, Smell, Language

Summer- Balance, Taste, Hearing

Program Details

This is a self-paced course that takes place on Ruzuku, our online course platform, from which modules will be released on Wednesdays. Each module contains: 

  • Video conversations featuring Molly and Chinyelu

  • Exploratory writing exercises and online discussion forums

  • Reading assignments

  • Recommended reading resources to help you craft meaningful festivals

  • Practical examples of how to celebrate various festivals (food, decorations, songs, stories)

$150 each;
groups of five or more receive 15% discount

This course requires 7 enrollments by Sunday, May 31st.

Continuing Education Credits

There is no deadline for completion, except for CE credits, and otherwise, participants have indefinite access so that you might return for inspiration at any time. 


** Participants can earn 15 Continuing Education hours with full participation and completion of the course by July 3rd. Sign up and details can be found within the course.

About the Instructors

Chinyelu Kunz

Chinyelu Kunz is an award-winning author, early childhood parenting expert, and certified Waldorf teacher. She is the author of The Little Book of Parenting: How to Nurture Your Child to Their Full Potential and children’s book Away to Dreamland: Cozy Bedtime Stories, Poems & Rhymes.

Her work centers on helping parents step out of reactive patterns and into steady, intentional leadership. She writes about building strong foundations in family life that support a child’s long-term development and positive parent-child relationship.

With more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, Chinyelu brings together developmental research, classroom insight, and lived parenting experience. She was born and raised in Nigeria, and has a master's degree in architecture. She raised her three children with a conscious commitment to breaking generational patterns and creating a different way forward.

Chinyelu shares her writings and ideas with an online community of more than 200,000 people and hosts the We Nurture Podcast. Her work has been featured on the Mindful Mama Podcast, in Juno Magazine, and in the GATEWAYS Newsletter of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America. 

She is the Joint Head of School at Hundred Hills School, where she helps bring Waldorf-inspired education to families on California’s Central Coast. She lives in Central California with her husband & their Bernese Mountain rescue dog.

Molly Brett

Molly Brett has worked in Waldorf education for 24 years.  She began her work in a therapeutic Waldorf school working across various grades.  She has been working specifically in Waldorf early childhood education for the last 15 years.  Currently, Molly is a preschool teacher, however, her years of parent child work developed her love and enthusiasm in parent work and education.  Molly has a Lifeways certificate of Early childhood education and a diploma in Inclusive Social Development concentrated in Curative Education. She is the founder of North Star Path, an online resource of inspiration, guidance, and mentorship for parents and teachers.  Personally, her background in wholistic health through Pilates and Yoga as well as her long-time involvement on the board of an anthroposophical medical practice strengthen her commitment to supporting human development through nourishing wellness practices.  Molly is also incredibly grateful to be the mother of three beautiful school-aged children.
