Creating Nurturing Transitions (2).png

It might be surprising to hear that young children move through 30 to 50 transitions daily, until you really think through their whole day. Wake up at 7 am and go to the bathroom or get a diaper change. Wash hands and maybe play for a few minutes while mom or dad makes breakfast. Sit down to eat, then help clean up or get cleaned up and then get dressed before playing again. It’s only around 8 am and your little one has already moved through eight transitions.

This means that how we handle transitions as caregivers is both really important and that each one is an opportunity to connect and nurture. Join Acacia in developing transitions based on Rudolf Steiner’s fourfold description of the human being - through the physical, rhythmical, emotional, and conscious-thinking aspects of your environment, activity and self-conduct. Learn how to carefully plan transitions, carry them out, and transform the challenging ones into nurturing moments that strengthen your relationship and your child.
